The more research we do, the more it seems that alot of people are having problems with Michelle Korn from Exotic publishing. She runs several blogs in which she defames and slanders numerous, numerous people. They are filthy, vile, and disgusting. Just had my first dealing with her. I'm a freelance writer and editor, I answered one of michelles job posts on oDesk to edit some interview scripts for her and in return I got nothing but a feed of abuse. The thing I'm worried about is that she had me fill out one of her online forms .. and theres a lot of my personal info there, seems she also has a tendency to splurge peoples personal contact details about.. CAN ANYTHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS WOMAN???
Please let me know about the class action suit! She has defamed me by writing about me as a contractor. She really needs to be run out of town so to speak. This is a vile vile person :(
This happened to me, too. I was hired by Michelle to do some freelance editing work a while ago. She was rude and abusive and completely wasted my time. Her blog is disgusting. Don't get involved with this woman! She's a a nasty piece of work.
I also contacted her about freelance editing/writing. My first red flag was when she described the work to be done; it was quite simply plagiarism. She wanted me to comb the internet to articles for her book and then help her "repurpose" them. But, curiosity got the best of me, and I have had to educate clients before on what is and isn't right along those lines. But within 24 hours she was angry and nasty because I for clarification on some information she wanted.
I've worked with Michelle for years and am surprised at all the vitriol some people have written on the net. In my experience, her expectations have been clearly set out and if you don't like them - don't work for her. All these people who think they know her business and their job better than she does drive her nuts.
Apparently she's had run ins with customers who buy her book etc too. Rip off report has some customer complaints about her.
The woman probably should be tested and diagnosed for mental instability. Obviously something is wrong there.
Do you know that she has actually created a site dedicated to spewing venom against providers she hired and fired or even those she didnt hire at all. I am privileged to belong to the latter group?
Why is she so angry with the world anyway? Weird, is all I can say.
She found my profile on a job site and emailed me asking if I'm interested to be an article writer. I replied and said if she can tell me more about the company. While waiting for her reply I looked up her company and saw some bad reviews. I feel she is feeding on too much negativity and everything is rooted on her anger. after just 2 email exchanges I got a taste of her rude and abusive behavior.
After reading these comments I feel as though I am reading about a different woman than the Michelle I deal with altogether. I have been utilizing Michelle's services for at least 3 years and have been nothing short of amzed at the length she goes to in meeting my needs. There is not one time Michelle hasn't over delivered what I expected, in a professional and timely manner. Not to mention she has a great sense of humor - very important in the business world. She is professional, excedes expectations - I can't imagine utilizing anyone else in the industry. If someone is slow, unprofessional or underdelivers - you will get shut down by a majority of business owners. Thank god she has the kahones to post a black list in the industry (so many flakes and scams, I wish more people did). She is by far one of if not the best in her industry, I will continue to contact her for years to come I am sure.
Looks like Michelle Korn---oops, I mean Laura--has been googling bad reviews of exotic publishing--and wants to do damage control.

After dealing with Michelle for the past 3 years I feel as if I am reading about a different person altogether! Every time I have dealt with Michelle she has been nothing but professional and to the point - usually goes beyond what I need or want. Being a businesswoman myself I appreciate someone who gets things done with no B.S., on time with a great sense of humor. She spells out to the letter what she expects or can deliver - like I said I have ALWAYS gotten so much more from her it amazes me. I can see how her sense could throw someone who operates on an unprofessional level. I will continue to contact her and utilize her services from here on out, she is one of the best in her field by far.
I had a dealing with Michelle Korn also. I own T'Dye For Hair Salon and she posted a negative review of my company on a site called Reviews of Companies.com. She completely slandered my business. I wrote a rebuttel and she had it removed. I heard she owns the web site. Michelle Korn is a complete nut case. One of my best friends is a lawyer and thinks we have a case for slander. I agree that such a vindictive person with so much time on her hands should spend more time working on her own issues rather than destroying other peoples lives.
I had the nightmare experience of being Michhelle Korn's landlord in Windsor Ontario for a few months and of course NOTHING was done right, house was bad, my workers were not good enough and neither was I.
She had all the excuses in the world to refuse to pay her rent so I served her an eviction notice : wow, what a crime on my part !
She created a blog on me which is the 1st thing that pops up should anyone google my name.
I located her in Kingsville Ontario and my lawyer served her a letter to desist, she then ammended the posting with a very strong disclaimer but kept it on.
The posting is now being used as a slander tool by a few other abusive tenants or real estate clients I have dealt with.
I have finally instructed my lawyers to file a lawsuit against this mean, abusive and destructive human being that you see normally only in plays or movies and not in real life. If anyone would like to join, please get back to me, my lawyers are located in Ontario but are licenced to practice in some states in the USA.
Michelle still owes me rent which she promised to send to me. I did not pursue her as she is one of thousands that take advantage of landlords but she decided to do the blog anyway. While I am working through the legal path to get the blog taken down, I wonder what Michelle has to say about the rent she still owes.
Update:
The blog where Michelle defamed me is no longer up, I hope it is a step in the right direction.
Michelle now needs to delete ALL defaming posts she may have on me everywhere else including on this board for me not to publish the Blog intended to address all the defamers she recruited on her blog.
My own blog will not be about lies or opinions, it will contain documents to let the public know my own side of the story which is the truth.
The investigation continues to locate Michelle should she attempt another defamation scheme on me, she cannot be trusted.
On yeah and it would be nice if she would email me the money she owes me too especially since she promised she would pay it. That would show that she is actually trying to do the right thing and I will be prompt to post it here.
